alright I'm about to get a little deep and sappy! if you don't wanna read, just skip ahead these next few paragraphs~ so my life lately has been feeling kinda empty and overwhelming at the same time. there's always the daunting question of "so what are you going to do now?" from those random high school acquaintances that you never really know how to answer. choosing to go down the route of fashion school (or any creative outlet) kinda puts you at the target of failure. all I can say is that I'm currently just blogging and working towards small milestones. but to be honest I really don't know what im going to do, but for now the ride is fun as hell. I guess all you can really show the people that are waiting for you to fail, is that you're not going to fail. you're also having a lot more fun than sitting in a classroom with a professor that no one likes ;) its all a journey and following your dreams and doing it your way is honestly going to be the best path taken. if you love something, pursue it. if your passion is with something out of the textbook ordinary, go after it. it's just going to be that much more amazing when you achieve the goals that everyone doubted you for.
so thank you so much for the team at tobi for believing in lil ol' me and sending me packages full of amazing pieces and love. also thank you to all the other awesome companies that have reached out to me. I'm so greatful for all the people in my life that encourage me to keep doing what I'm doing. because the universe knows I've doubted myself time after time. at this moment though, im so happy that I've stuck with it. it's one of the most rewarding things in my life to be able to build something with what I love and to have this creative community behind me in my ventures.
anyways! for this lace dress I decided to turn the girly delicate features to something a little more grungy with these platform boots and a wide brimmed hat. this dress is literally perfect from its high neckline to the cross straps along the back. ladies you can totally go braless with this one too because of the lacey texture! if you ever choose to splurge on a pair of platforms I highly suggest the salems, they're incredibly comfortable despite the height and go with practically everything.
this look features the
the "vault" hat by UNIF via Nasty Gal (I suggest double checking multiple sites on prices before purchasing, especially with UNIF stuff! you might be able to get a better deal on nasty gal, doll skill or even moose limited)
