alright so from now on I might just add a little short rant or speech to all my posts since the last one was received so positively :) this time around I wanna talk about worth. the saying that I'm sure all of you have heard is "know your worth" but what does that truly mean? on one hand it means not allowing someone to treat you beneath of what you deserve. I whole heartedly believe in that what you get is what you give. keeping that in mind, I also believe that what you get is what you allow yourself to receive. if you don't like how something is going, fix it. if you can't stand the way someone is treating you, stop letting it happen. if you WANT to be happy, LET YOURSELF BE HAPPY. your opinion and your beliefs are worth so much more than what you think. if someone can't see eye to eye with you on the matter than you can either leave or just continue to allow them to have a presence in your life. but know that you're giving up a part of you that makes you, you when you let them stay & have their way. that's called a compromise. I don't believe that anyone should have to "compromise" when it comes to loving & being loved but if that person really means that much to you, then just know that you're giving away a part of you. I'm not saying its wrong, because honestly I've been trying to compromise a lot lately. it takes a lot of energy to try and force yourself to get over your opinions, just saying. now on the other hand it means not degrading yourself. this one is a little tricky given the whole new fad of girls taking nudity and making it about feminism. there is a line between just being nude to be nude and being nude to make a statement. don't get me wrong because I am ALL for women's rights and feminism but being trashy is not the same as being righteous. but by all means, be proud of your body and show it off because every female is so incredibly beautiful in their own diverse ways. show off that ass baby girl, just add a little class!
so for this post I'm going to be dressing up a solid! over the last few weeks I've been obsessing over solid pieces that can be worked into several different styles, so when I received this adorable tank from tobi I couldn't wait to work with it! who said solid had to be boring? I paired it with some extremely distressed boyfriend jeans and a pair of chunky heels topped with some gold jewelry and voila! you're set! these shoes were also from forever 21 which is sucha pleasant surprise... I usually get scared at the thought of even entering their doors but I must say, their shoe collection is worth the clutter! be sure to check it out guys.
