Summer Skincare Favorites

1. Clinique Moisture Surge

My summertime skin is always in between being as dry as the Sahara desert and breaking out from sweat. I recently received this as a sample and I fell in love after one use! I went and bought the entire jar. The formula contains Hyaluronic Acid which can hold up to 1,000x its own weight in water and is already part of your body (in between your joints like the oil for a car engine) so it's great for you and seals in water helping with aging or as Zoolander says, "Moisture is the essence of wetness, and wetness is the essence of beauty." It goes on super smooth and forms a barrier on your skin to lock in the moisture that the formula creates. It literally feels dry within 5 minutes of application! I don't like sticky creams or serums but typically end up with something that's too light and doesn't moisturize enough, but this baby is incredibly light, smells like nothing and when I wake up in the morning I feel like a new born ;)

2. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

First of all..... have you guys tried Glow Recipe?! This site is literally a Korean skincare haven. This specific product is currently out of stock on Glow Recipe, but I linked it anyways so you guys can see the site and you can actually find the mask at Sephora, here. You can find EVERYTHING from bubble masks to foam pumps, amazing. This mask is a "sleeping mask" meaning that you leave it on over night and peep the results in the morning. It smells like candy watermelons and feels like a slimy, ooey-gooey, drippy, god-send. I use this once a week to keep my cheeks soft and hydrated and have 0 complaints about the product.

3. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

This little bottle is actually something I keep on hand all year. It's a serum that hydrates without giving me breakouts, which is something not many serums or oils can do. I like to put this on before I start my makeup routine to make sure my makeup doesn't end up creasing or drying out my skin. It's a great base because it absorbs so quickly! It's a little pricey, but honestly you only need two or three drops to go over your entire face, before makeup or before bed. Worth it in my book!

4. Anese So Over it & Pretty Sure I'm Gorgeous Masks

Anese is literally the cutest little brand out there IMO. It feels a little like Glossier but with a bit more kick-ass in it's branding. The So Over It mask has a formula with papaya and pineapple to gently exfoliate without over scrubbing, the result? Smooth skin with no breakouts or redness! I like to follow up with the Pretty Sure I'm Gorgeous Mask to soothe my skin before bed. This one contains active charcoal!
